We still have a week to go before Black Friday, and Vizio has already announced a one-day rate reduction on their 42-inch plasma. The sale at Costco will consequence the first time a high-definition-ready set of that size will be sold for less than $1000, which is considered by many analysts to be that magic reckon where mass adoption will kick off.

You may have already seen this if you have radiogram TV (and don't automatically skip over infomercials), but Big Lots is offering a 42-inch plasma TV from Sylvania for $799. That's $400 off the even price and down $200 from the 42-inch plasma that Vizio cranked out for Black Friday.
